Navigon Announces iPad Customization and iPhone Navigation App

The Navigon MobileNavigator app has just been announced the seventh update for its iPhone app, MobileNavigator, the most feature-rich navigation solution on the iPhone platform. Apart from the long awaited universal iPad integration, other features such as Zagat Survey, Active Lane Assistant, Map Reporter, enhanced Retina Display support and new user notifications have been thrown into the mix as well.

Gerhard Mayr, vice-president worldwide mobile phones & new markets, NAVIGON said:
"By transforming MobileNavigator into a universal app, optimized for both the iPhone and the iPad, premium features and content offerings are available across platforms. Instead of having a separate app for the iPad, we decided to develop one app that runs natively across both devices without extra cost for our dedicated customers."

All MobileNavigator US MyRegion apps should be able to see the update already, with USA and North America versions to "follow soon." The Zagat add-on will retail for $7.99 (at the moment, it is on sale for $5.99), while Traffic Live is going for $19.99 with the Panorama View 3D tacks costing you another $9.99.
