Sony announced PlayStation Suite framework and Store for Android

Sony has just announced that there will be a PlayStation Store for Android, allowing users to purchase games straight from an Android-powered device, regardless of whether said device is a phone or tablet. Among the titles that were paraded included Cool Boarders 2, Syphon Filter, Rally Cross, Wild Arms, and MediEvil.

Of course, this is part of the larger picture where you will also find first generation PSP titles available on PlayStation Suite devices, where the PlayStation Suite is touted to be a unique and secure environment for distributing content.

In this hardware-neutral development framework, will we see Sony trying to wrest away some market share from Nintendo in an indirect manner where portable gaming is concerned?

Sure, you might not own a PSP, but at least you can play some PS titles on your Android device – without having to purchase a 3DS.
