Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich coming in October?

Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich plans, and it’s looking like the first Ice Cream Sandwich devices could start hitting the ground in as early as October.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is said to be the successor to Android 3.x Honeycomb range, and while it was originally targeting a Q4 2011 rollout, it seems that Apple’s plans might have forced Google’s hand to beat it to the market.

Google has big plans for Ice Cream Sandwich, where they include improvements to the

• Android camera app (about time, too!)
• improved facial recognition technology
• a resolution-agnostic experience
