Those who own Office for Mac 2011 will be able to download Service Pack 1, where the download weighs in at 246MB, and you will need to make sure your machine runs on Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later.
Of course, with each new service pack, you can be sure that the software gets more secure (although the Mac platform by default is way more secure than the PC environment), where vulnerabilities which existed in Office 2011 such as that which enables an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code is closed up.
Apple intends to discontinue using Mac OS X Sync Services with its subscription MobileMe service on May 5 for all users, just for your information.
