Viewsonic unveiled ViewPad 4 Android tablet/phone (CES 2011)

Viewsonic introduced its new 4-inch Android 2.2 phone that will probably be viewed as a direct competitor to the Dell Streak. The ViewPad 4 offers full cell phone functionality bundled with HD 720p video recording, playback, upload and HDMI 720p display output.

The phone sees to resemble a tablet more than a phone, though it will include calling features. You’ll get a device with a 4.1-inch display, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, web browser, Swype input, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and 3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The ViewPad 4 will be available in the middle of 2011. Pricing will be dependent upon carriers.
