Android 2.4 coming this April?

Good news for Android fans that Viewsonic’s recently announced ViewPad 4 smartphone will be powered by Android 2.4 when it’s launched in April and the operating system is capable of working with Honeycomb apps.


According to Pocket-lint, the release date of version 2.4 has been brought forward to ensure that dual-core apps designed for Honeycomb (v3.0) will be able to work with single-core devices running v2.4.
Pocket-lint also says that “This latest update to the ViewSonic Europe ViewPad range will position the device as one of the first multi-media handsets to be supported by Google’s new operating system."
