Samsung Galaxy S Plus specifications leaked

According to the latest reports online, Samsung’s Galaxy S is going to be replaced by a new handset. And apparently it won’t be the Galaxy S 2 that’s doing the replacing – a new Galaxy S phone called the Galaxy S Plus (i9001) will be doing the job instead.

The Samsung Galaxy S Plus, model number i9001 has a features:

• Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
• 1.4GHz overclocked Hummingbird processor
• 4″ Super AMOLED Display
• 8GB of internal memory
• 1650mAh battery

The phone will go on sale in Russia next month for the equivalent of $840 (unlocked). 

While we’re still waiting for any official word from Samsung, Eldar Murtazin is rarely off the mark, and there’s a chance this device will surface in the future.
