HTC EVO 4G and ThunderBolt to get Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) by end of June?

Well, today there’s a bit of hope for you guys using the Thunderbolt or Evo 4G, that they will get Gingerbread update soon. According to TalkAndroid, one of their readers received an email from an HTC rep disclosing that both of these phones will receive the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update anytime from now until the end of June.

While the same time frame has been given (beginning of April to end of June), it is basically the same Q2 2011 window as promised for the HTC Desire family.

Gingerbread has been out for awhile now, and it’s about time we see some devices other than the flagship Google phones running the latest version of Android.
