LG's 72-inch 3D LCD coming to CES 2011

LG says their LZ9700 is the world's largest 3D LED-backlit LCD TV and will probably also be one of LG's most expensive TVs ever.

The set also boasts a 400Hz refresh rate and local dimming, as well as the now-standard set of USB inputs, DLNA support, and the ever ambiguous TV "apps."

Putting this in your living room might be akin to sitting in the front row at a Tron IMAX showing, but we're still eager to give it a look in person.

LG hasn't made a huge mark in the 3D world, so this announcement is a good way to get its name more strongly into the competition.
