Unreleased Alienware M17x Features Intel Sandy Bridge Chip

We're still waiting for products to feature Intel's Sandy Bridge processor line but someone out there has managed to get hold of an Alienware M17x notebook and it has been benchmarked with some juicy scores. 

We're talking about a 15,940 score on 3DMark06 for the 2GHz Core i7-2630QM machine and a 20,155 score for a 2.2GHz i7-2720QM with AMD Radeon HD 6900M graphics. 

A 2.3GHz i7-2820QM chip paired with a GeForce GTX 460M GPU manages to score 16,957 too. On another note, the M17x looks more or less the same in the looks department, which is good news for folks who love the unique design of Alienware hardware.
