Microsoft launches Office 2011 for Mac

Microsoft launches Office 2011 for Mac today, bringing Mac users the latest versions of the company’s productivity software. The release is the latest effort from the Office for Mac team, which has been delivering Microsoft software to the Mac for 13 years.

Wilfrid, general manager of Microsoft’s Office for Mac team says:
“As someone who works at Microsoft and deals with Apple often, I acknowledge that our companies compete. Some people choose Windows, and some people choose Mac. That conflict tends to get a lot of attention, but I deal in the reality that there are customers who love their Macs and also love using Office.”

You will be able to pick up Office for Mac 2011 in various editions, with a single license Microsoft Office for Home and Student 2011 going for $109.99 to $149.99, while a similar single license Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Business will retail from $174.99 to $279.99.
