Gingerbread will be titled as version 2.3?

An anonymous Google engineer confirms that Google’s next release of Android, Gingerbread will be titled as version 2.3.

When a user ask a problem related to Android 2.2 then a Google engineer replied it :

"Yes, Android 2.3 is a "major release", and this patch will be available then."
