SMD showcase Super PLS LCD which will replace IPS Displays

Samsung Mobile Display showcase the next generation LCD-TFT Display for smartphones. SMD shows in a sample the differents between the new Super Plan to Line switching display and the IPS technology. Samsung claims that the Super PLS displays have a 100 percent improvement in viewing angles compared to IPS, which has become popularized in Apple's iPad, and also offers a 10 percent increase in brightness.

Samsung shows a new 19-inch OLED TV prototype

Samsung Mobile Display shows a new 19-inch OLED TV prototype that was touted to be produced using a spanking new inkjet method.

This panel is actually an AMOLED panel that has a count of 960 x 540 pixels at 58ppi resolution. It also has a brightness level of 200 cd/m², supporting up to 16.77 million colors (that's more than what your eyes care to view) and a 8-bit color scale. 


Samsung shows its 30-inch 3D AMOLED Display

Samsung after showcasing a 7-inch Super AMOLED Galaxy Tab, the Korean company is also showcasing a 30-inch 3D AMOLED display.

The panel from SMD has 30 inch and is larger then the last prototypes which Samsung showcased at CES-2010.

ViewSonic today announced the launch of its latest LED backlit monitors -- the VG36-LED Series.

The VG36-LED Series makes its debut with the 24" (23.6" vis.) VG2436wm-LED and 22" (21.5" vis.) VG2236wm-LED. These environmentally-friendly LED monitors feature a slim bezel profile and native 1920x1080 resolution.

Ortustech has developed the world's smallest full HD,  4.8-inch TFT display.

The panel sports a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 dots which is based on HAST (Hyper Amorphous Silicon TFT), an microfabrication technology, liquid crystal alignment technology.
