Sony Reader App Coming for Android this December

Sony’s looking to join the Android market with their Reader application – named after their line of e-Ink products to help you read without having to carry around a load of books. Aside from offering the Sony Reader devices, the company has introduced its Reader application for iPhone and Android devices.

The apps will bring all of the functionality of Sony’s Reader series to Android, with users able to make their own bookmarks and notes, also adjusting font sizes to suit your screen resolution and level of eyesight.

But it's always good to have competition and choices for folks who aren't keen for the offerings from Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Borders and the other players.

Sony has revealed it’ll be launching iPhone and Android versions of its Reader software this December.
