This panel is actually an AMOLED panel that has a count of 960 x 540 pixels at 58ppi resolution. It also has a brightness level of 200 cd/m², supporting up to 16.77 million colors (that's more than what your eyes care to view) and a 8-bit color scale.
According to Samsung, this is only a prototype at the moment which is undergoing development, so expect to see the final, polished product look and hopefully perform a whole lot better.
