Acer announces HS244HQ full HD 3D Display along with AS5745DG 3D laptop

Today Acer is announced a pair of 3D products i.e HS244HQ full HD 3D Display and AS5745DG 3D laptop. The HS244HQ is a 1080p monitor that measures 23.6-inches across, has the requisite 120Hz refresh rate and manages a 12,000,000:1 contrast ratio thanks to its LED backlighting.


The HS244HQ is said to be the first on the market to deliver Full HD 3D imagery via HDMI 3D connectivity (probably referring to HDMI 1.4) for enhanced stereoscopic entertainment and learning. The HS244HQ uses LED-backlighting for lower power consumption. It comes with a pair of active 3D shutter glasses and built-in IR emitter.

The AS5745DG-A54E/L is a 15.6-inch “high cost-performance model” machine with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M (with NVIDIA’s 3D VISION at 120Hz), an Intel Core i5-460M processor at 2.53GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 640GB hard drive, HDMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 1.3Mpx webcam, and 3D VISION glasses. Bundled with Windows 7 Home Premium x64, this high-spec package comes at “less than 100K yen”. Scheduled to appear in stores on the 3rd next month.
